About

Zeal Triptych

Zeal is 25 year-old ex-Adelaidien audio visual artist Robert Jarvis now living in Melbourne. Robert earned his jazz degree from the Elder Conservatorium in 2006 which he has been misusing ever since, creating eclectic indietronica in his bedroom studio and animated music videos about cats in space on his bedroom floor.

Tracks from his album “With the Moon Alongside Racing Us Home” and his debut EP “This is how I hear your voice” have been aired on community and national radio, featured in compilations by Cyclic Defrost and others,  he’s toured nationally and has been a feature artist on Triple J Unearthed.  His solo live show’s are a quirky and intimate affair featuring melodica solos, self oscillating delay pedals and a laptop driven by a hacked guitar hero controller.

Along side his musical work he’s produced animated music videos for Zeal, Faux Pas, Cuba is Japan and Agnes Kain and his work has been screened at The Portable Film Festival, SoundKilda and the SA Short Film Awards.

In his spare time he teaches music and blogs about his endeavors here.
